Time for two weeks off!
Hell yeah! I just finished that nasty report for work, and now I am ready to go off to Kenya for two weeks. First time in sub-Saharan Africa, first time below the equator, first (and probably only) time going to Saudi. My flight connects through Jeddah, so should be fun...
In a little bit I have to go meet Maan somewhere so I can finally get my plane ticket. In all the confusion I still don't know whether I'm leaving TOMORROW, or if I have a few days sanity until Sunday. At least I know that I'm coming back on April 2nd no matter what. But I'm definitely excited. Lions and other badass animals await.

i took 2 kenyan girls home with me for spring break and when my dad asked them what kenyans think when americans come to visit their country, here's the gist of what they said:
-they only come for safaris and such
-they are generally stupid..because:
-they like to get out of the safari jeeps to "go get a closer look" of the animals. as soon as they get out, the kenyan guides slam the door and start rolling up all windows... and then look at the americans as if they were the most unintelligent creature in the whole world.
moral of this story.... DON'T GET OUT OF THE SAFARI JEEP!
